09/25/2018 Managing Director of Human Resources, Hotel Holiday Inn Almaty Abdrakhmanova S.S. held a training seminar with students of the specialty "Organization of hotel services". Saltanat Saparovna drew the attention of students to such questions as:
- sanitary and hygienic requirements for the maintenance of hotel premises;
- the value of the location of the hotel;
- marketing in the hotel industry;
- the concept of "service" and features of hotel services;
- modern hotel management systems;
- booking, booking methods;
- The organization of customer service during their stay at the hotel;
- preparation and procedure for departure from the hotel;
- the procedure and types of calculation of payment for the hotel services provided;
- refund for unused services;
- room stock service, basic functions, types of housekeeping;
- system of interaction between hotel services.
The seminar was a breeze, because Saltanat Saparovna is a practitioner and any question is disclosed intelligibly and vitally. Everything was clear, accessible, practical, good materials, good organization of the seminar. The material was interesting. The main thing is that there were many examples from practice, and not one theory, as is often the case. We hope that our students will apply this knowledge in their work. The administration of the college regularly organizes such seminars. Leading, branded hotels in the city, such as Holiday Inn Almaty and The Ritz Carlton Almaty are the base hotels of the college. Pupils of the specialty "Organization of hotel services" regularly practice in these hotels. Holiday Inn Almaty and The Ritz Carlton Almaty have been working closely with the Almaty State College of Service and Technology for many years.
