May 31 is the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repressions. For our country, as for most countries of the former Soviet Union, the years of repression will long remain in the memory of thousands of innocently convicted people.
In 1937-1938 alone, more than 100 thousand people were illegally convicted in Kazakhstan, about 25 thousand of whom were shot. Shots and arrests broke the fate of millions. The children were left without fathers and mothers. Only through the gulag from 1934-1941. More than 6 million people of different nationalities have passed.
In 1997, taking into account the appeal of citizens and public associations of the country and in order to perpetuate the memory of victims of political repression, the President by his decree of April 5, 1997 No. 3443 officially established May 31 as the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression. Also, in accordance with the decree, various events dedicated to this day should be held annually in Kazakhstan.
05.28.2018 year in college was held an event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repression.
The main objective of this event: the education of thinking, with high moral qualities of individuals, the formation of a civil and patriotic orientation. Education respect the historical past of the people.
