Almaty State College of Service and Technology was established in 1952 on the basis of the decree number 120 of 06.26.1952. on the basis of the industrial complex Kazpromsovet, order Kazpromsovet, called "Alma-Ata College of Industrial Cooperation."

        In 1954, on the basis of the order No. 158 dated 11/15/1954, at the technical school, the Central Specialized Chamber of the All-Union Technical College was organized in the same specialties.

        In 1957, the Alma-Ata Technical College of Commercial Cooperation was renamed the Alma-Ata Polytechnic, by the order "112 of July 12, 1952, and transferred to the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education.

        In 1961, the technical school became known as the “Technical College of Light Industry” under the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education.

        In 1968, the Technical School of Light Industry became known as the Technological College of Light Industry and Consumer Services.

        In 1995, on the basis of the order of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 312 dated December 11, 1995, the technical school was renamed “Almaty College of Service”.

        In accordance with the decision of the Akim of Almaty, No. 54, dated January 18, 1999, the college is the State communal state-owned enterprise "Almaty College of Service". The form of ownership is state. The main activity is educational.

        On the basis of Annex 1 to the Resolution of the Akimat of Almaty dated July 14, 2008 No. 3/543, the State Municipal State Enterprise "Almaty College of Service" of the Almaty City Education Department was renamed the State Municipal State Enterprise "Almaty State College of Service and Technologies".

        The State Communal State Enterprise "Almaty State College of Service and Technologies" of the Education Administration of Almaty, is registered with the Justice Department of Almaty (certificate of state registration of a legal entity 25244-1910 SE dated July 30, 2008, series В №0336583).
